Ok, first things first…if you don’t like Family Guy, Ted, or Movie 43, you will not like A Million Ways to Die in the West.
I’m a huge Seth MacFarlane fan, so I actually enjoyed this movie. There are a few slow scenes and more love story than I really needed, but for the most part it’s cute. I guess that’s the best way to describe it. Well, I don’t know, can cute and vulgar live happily together? It’s totally vulgar.
Ted wasn’t my most favorite movie, but the it seemed to get pretty decent reviews. However, Movie 43 didn’t fair so well at the box office, but I found it to be quite funny. I would say A Million way to Die is somewhere in the middle.
And yes, it is vulgar in a lot of places, but not so vulgar that women will hate it. I think it’s a good mix of funny, vulgar, and cute. Wow, that’s a weird combination.
Be warned, the mustache song will get in your head!!!
There are quite a few cameos from Ryan Reynolds, to Jamie Foxx, and even Christopher Lloyd.By the way, Christopher Lloyd wins a prize for having the best scene. At least it was for me!
Neil Patrick Harris, who I love dearly, is the main opposition of Seth MacFarlane’s character. I will say, as much as I love NPH, I was disappointed in one of his scenes. I won’t ruin it for you, but you might throw up when you see it. C’mon NPH…you’re better than that!
As for the star, director, and writer, Seth MacFarlane, in now way does he look like he belongs in the wild West. But when did he get so cute? OMG, that smile! He has this certain charm about him throughout the whole movie.
A Million Way to Die in the West isn’t the greatest movie of all time, but then again I was exactly watching it for that reason. I came to be entertained and I was for the most part. It could have used a few more death in the West scenes, but overall I enjoyed it.
So due to the massive amount of celebs in this movie…I’ll give it 3 out of 5 celebrity cameos. In other words, it gets a Ryan Reynolds, a Jamie Foxx, and a Christopher Lloyd.
